Changing Your Water Filtration System Filters!

By watching the video you will learn just how easy it is to change filters in your water filtration system. After watching you can revert to the following instructions as a quick reference guide.

  1. Engage the bypass loop by turning on the bypass valve and turning off unit valves. Please note that with the bypass loop engaged unfiltered water will flow into the plumbing of your home.
  2. Place bucket under the post-filter to catch water. Turn the pressure release port counter-clockwise.
    (Important: When changing the pre-filter or post-filter, you must ALWAYS relieve the pressure in your system before attempting to change your filters.) 
  3. Using the wrench supplied with your filter system, turn the lower ring clockwise to remove the blue chamber.
  4. Remove the used filter.
  5. If necessary, clean the inside of with mild soapy water, rinse and dry.
  6. Place new filter in the center of the blue chamber.
  7. Clean the housing o-ring and relubricate it with silicone grease. Seat the o-ring into the proper groove and reattach the housing by screwing back onto the top piece.
    (NOTE: DO NOT USE PETROLEUM JELLY as lubrication on the system or o-rings.)
  8. After reassembly, hand-tighten the pressure relief port by turning clockwise.
  9. Now turn the system back on by turning of the bypass loop valve and turning on the unit valves.
  10. Run water with the bucket still under the post-filter and check for leaks.
